The Role:

The post holder will be responsible for providing hands-on technical leadership of complex projects, performing all chemistry safely and in full compliance with HSE and QA policies and procedures. The post holder will be expected to apply their experience and knowledge to identify and implement improved ways of working; identify problems and potential solutions, and fully implement these solutions. This role assumes an understanding and experience of all scales of chemistry performed within Almac Sciences.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a degree in Chemistry (or related discipline) and extensive practical experience of process chemistry and safe scale up. He/She will have good working knowledge of analytical techniques, including HPLC and NMR, along with good working knowledge of MS Office, chemical drawing and chemical database applications. Although not essential, experience of late stage validation projects, practical experience of a pre-approval inspection, and leadership of complex process development and scale up projects would be desirable. Good working knowledge of cGMP and experience of the contract chemistry commercial environment would also be advantageous.
